State Grid installed more than 170 million kilowatts of clean energy in 2010

State Grid Corporation of China released the “2010 Social Responsibility Report”, which promised that the average time for power cuts in urban and rural households in 2011 will be controlled within 7 hours and 29.6 hours, respectively. This is the first social responsibility report issued by Chinese enterprises during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period.

The report promises that the goal of the State Grid in 2011 is to achieve a 99.538% pass rate for the city's Power Supply voltage, control the average power outage time per household within 7 hours, increase the pass rate of rural power supply voltage to 97.68%, and control the average outage time per household within 29.6 hours. It will increase the scale of investment in rural power grids, implement rural power grid upgrading and upgrading projects, solve the problem of low voltage of 7.5 million households, and make more than 80% of rural power supply stations meet the requirements of standardized power supply.

It is understood that the State Grid provides electricity to over one billion people in China. During the “11th Five-Year Plan” period, the company’s total length and transmission capacity of DC transmission lines ranked first in the world. During this period, the average annual power cut-off time of urban users decreased by more than 13.27 hours, a total of 1.34 million electricity-free households and 5.09 million people without electricity solved the power problem.

In addition, the State Grid last year installed 176.76 million kilowatts of clean energy (wind power, hydropower), accounting for 23.6% of its total installed capacity.
