Flash memory prices may fall to $1/GB

iSuppli warned today that flash memory prices may have crashed to $1/GB. This is because the price of NAND memory for flash memory products has started to rise and fall this year, and the evolution of technology has caused the price of memory cells to begin to avalanche.

Due to falling prices, the SSDs that currently look too expensive will begin to become mainstream in two years, while the much lower cost hard disk processors will begin to be occupied by SSDs in the high-end market.

In addition, the overall decline in the price of flash memory is a great positive news for various handheld devices. All kinds of mobile phones and smart notebook manufacturers will bring more profitable space, and even lower the price of the products.
