At the conference, Apple demonstrated how the Touch Bar is used in some well-known software, such as the Photoshop image editing link as a tool to adjust the blending mode, or as a video scrolling tool in Final Cut Pro X.
Taking Final Cut Pro X as an example, Apple developed a special software upgrade specifically for the Touch Bar and added the Magnet Timeline function, which allows it to bring precise scrolling capabilities while emulating the color coding capabilities of desktop applications.
In addition to Photoshop and Final Cut Pro X, other Touch Bar-compatible applications include Mail, Finder, Numbers, GarageBand, Messaging, Photos, Pages, FaceTime, and Apple Pay.
In the promotional video, Apple even showed the ability to use the Touch Bar to answer or hang up the phone.
In another demonstration session, we also saw special buttons for Touch Bar displayed for Twitter, Facebook, Bing, Google, and LinkedIn, but whether these will be officially launched, Apple has not yet responded. In addition, Microsoft's Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook, and more third-party applications will provide support for the Touch Bar.
The new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar will soon be available for sale in China, starting at RMB 13,888.
