At the beginning of the new year, Sanshui will install energy-saving and environmentally-friendly LED street lights for the main roads in the region. Recently, the author learned from the District Economic Development Bureau that Sanshui plans to use two years to build a LED road lighting demonstration project with a total of more than 10,000 baht and a total length of over 140 kilometers.
At the end of 2010, Leping Town took the lead in building a demonstration road for solar LED street lighting in the whole district. The person in charge of Sanshui Industrial Park said that the road is 2 kilometers long and has an investment of 2.9 million. The cost of each solar LED street light is 19,000 yuan, which is about 6,000 yuan higher than the cost of traditional street lamps. The person in charge said that after the solar street light is installed, there is no need to pull the power supply, and the saved electricity cost can fill the difference after 5 years.

The solar LED street light has a good effect after being put into use, and it can still operate normally in the recent rain and fog days. Leping is considering replacing the street lamp of the entire industrial park with solar LED. The relevant person in charge of the District Economic Development Bureau said that the solar LED street light has a good effect, but the cost is high. The specific model of the street light will be selected by the localities according to the actual situation.
Deng Yongzhong, head of the measurement unit of the Quality Supervision Bureau of the district, said that the street lamps used in Sanshui District are mainly high-pressure sodium lamps that emit golden light. The new LED energy-saving lamps save more than 60% of electricity than high-pressure sodium lamps. One LED street lamp can be used for one year. The reduction of 185 kilograms of carbon dioxide is of great significance for energy conservation and emission reduction and the promotion of low carbon life. Deng Yongzhong said that the Quality Supervision Bureau will measure the actual energy consumption of the LED lighting application demonstration project and release relevant data when appropriate.
It is understood that the LED road project is mainly based on new road applications and supplemented by existing trunk roads. In addition to street lights, indoor and public spaces have also been included in the upgrade plan. According to the plan, by the end of 2012, Sanshui District will complete 15,000 square meters, 80,000 square meters of indoor lighting LED demonstration project and 3000 miles of outdoor LED lighting demonstration project. By the end of 2013, the main public places, public institutions, large landmark buildings and other areas in the region have basically upgraded their green lighting products.
