Walking at the forefront of power robot technology

On October 11, the 4th International Conference on Power Robotics was held in Jinan. The power robot family of Shandong Power Company of the State Grid made its debut and conquered power robot technology from Canada, Germany, Brazil, South Korea, and Australia. Research experts and high-level decision-makers attracted praise.

“Shandong Power has carried out R&D of electric robots since 1999 and has undertaken three national '863 Project' projects.” Li Rong, chief engineer of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, said, “We have independently developed more than 20 kinds of electric robots, covering Various links in the power industry such as transmission, transmission, transformation, distribution, and use, and the complementary functions of different power robots and 'group operations' to help customers solve practical problems in power grid operation and management.”

Substation "Intelligent Defender" has its own side

At 2 o'clock in the morning on October 6, a 500 kV smart substation in China - Zhejiang 500 kilowatts Zhifu substation, a white robot less than one meter tall flashed "big eyes" for inspection. Li Dongsong, the person in charge of the substation's intelligent patrol robot project, said that since the operation was put into operation in October 2010, the robot has inspected the station three times a day and has had to “twist his head” more than 700 times a day, transmitting inspection data and pictures to the back office in real time. Significantly reduce the work intensity of the substation personnel on duty.

Since the first domestic substation equipment inspection robot was developed in 2005, the R&D team of State Grid Shandong Electric Power has now developed four generations of substation equipment inspection robots. It has built the largest R&D, production and testing base for electric power robots and automation equipment in China, with an annual production capacity of more than 500 sets.

As a pioneer in the domestic electric power special robot industry, State Grid Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. has achieved the coverage of all voltage class substations from 110 kV to 1000 kV, with a market share of 51%. These robots, which have been “posted”, have withstood the test of harsh environments such as high temperatures, squally winds, heavy rain, ice and snow, plateaus, and fog, and realized the all-weather, all-round, self-service intelligent inspection and monitoring of substations.

The substation's intelligent patrol robot has won a number of awards: In 2009, it was awarded the "Science and Technology Progress Award in Shandong Province"; in 2012, it was awarded the "China Outstanding Industrial Design Award" by the State Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; in 2013, it won the "15th China Patent Award". Appearance Patent Gold Award. Up to now, the achievements have been granted 203 patents and 26 invention patents.

"Smart patrol clairvoyance" repeatedly builds Qi Gong

In addition to running on the ground, he also developed the sky. “Intelligent patrol telescope” UAV inspection system can cooperate with manpower and helicopters to carry out routine, state and special patrol inspections in complex geography environment to realize full autonomy and full-scale of transmission line equipment defects such as towers, insulator strings and wires. Azimuth detection.

On September 27th, 2011, the fixed-wing UAV smart inspection system developed by the team members was first inspected at the 500kV Gwangju-Dazawa transmission line. The inspection system passed back clear real-time image data and successfully detected the data. Preset more than 10 points on the line.

On October 20th, 2012, Wushaoling, Jinyintan, Qinghai Lake, and Hoh Xil... In these hard-hit, high-altitude cold regions, team members endured altitude sickness and selected 10 different types of drones. It took one month and traveled more than 6,000 kilometers to determine the maximum flying height, loading capacity, and control accuracy of the UAV at an altitude of 2,800-4,767 meters, which created a domestic precedent.

The drone flight inspection can make use of air superiority, check the circuit conditions in an all-round and high-precision way, and make up for the lack of manual inspection. This achievement has won many awards such as "National Grid Corporation Scientific and Technological Progress First Prize", "China Power Science and Technology Third Prize" and "National Energy Science and Technology Progress Award".

In 2012, the State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company took the lead in realizing the normalization of UAV inspections in China, and conducted flight inspections in Yantai, Qingdao, Jining, Weihai, and Xiamen, Fujian Provinces in succession. Up to now, a total of 1876 kilometers of inspections have been conducted. Found 538 defects and abnormalities.
