Siemens launches new stand-alone inverter for Sinamics V20

Siemens launched a new stand-alone inverter suitable for basic use in China, namely SinamicsV20. The new single-machine inverter was jointly designed and developed by Siemens engineers from China, Germany and the United Kingdom, and was consumed at Siemens CNC (Nanjing) Infinity. This new stand-alone drive is compact, durable, quick to commission, easy to operate and economical. “The new inverter, Sinamics V20, is the best example of Siemens’ use of global technology in the fragmented design of local products,” said Chung An, vice president of drive technology group and general manager of motion control at Siemens China’s industrial business area. Siemens continues to rely on the needs of the Chinese market to design products and processing solutions that suit local needs from time to time."

Complicated transmissions require a convenient and economical processing solution. Sinamics V20 frequency converter has two kinds of power supply modes, a total of four kinds of external dimensions, power range covers 0.12kW to 15kW, suitable for dragging pump, blower, tightening machine, or fragmentation of the machine, as well as the complex obligations in the processing and delivery. This compact inverter can be installed side by side to save installation space. In addition to the conventional cabinet wall installation, it is also possible to stop through-wall installations. Because there is no need for additional modules or additional options to operate, installation time is greatly extended. With the integrated operator panel (BOP), field commissioning and operation can be smoothly terminated. In addition to having a universal serial interface that facilitates connection to the controller, the terminal also has a universal speech Modbus interface for use on the electronic controller that can be used to terminate communications with third-party controllers. Prefabricated interfaces and the use of macros (that is, grouping together a set of commands to accomplish a specific obligation together) facilitate the suspension of usage-oriented settings. With frequency converters with a rated power above 7.5 kW, this frequency converter directly connects the braking resistor with the integrated brake chopper.
