Cirrus Logic introduces the highly competitive new CS4352 digital-to-analog converter that combines rich audio performance and functionality. The CS4352 features an on-chip line driver and an analog low-pass filter to help designers reduce the number of external components in mainstream consumer audio products such as flat-panel digital TVs, DVD recorders, set-top boxes, game consoles and sound cards, reducing design complexity and overall system cost. .The on-chip line driver and low-pass filter directly provide 2Vrms user line level audio output, and the system design eliminates the need for an op amp and more than 10 passive components. This ability to integrate and directly drive the final product output simplifies the analog output stage and reduces cost. Automatic sample rate detection based on Cirrus Logic technology configures the CS4352 into an appropriate operational model to further simplify the design.

The CS4352 features a multi-bit delta-sigma architecture with an operating voltage range of 9V to 12V for hardware configuration. The CS4352 is also pin-compatible with the CS4351 DAC to ensure easy upgrades for existing customers. In addition, it uses Cirrus Logic's Popguard® technology to control breaks and noise during startup.
