32 Dongguan rural power institutions will be handed over to Guangdong Power Grid

In 2011, Dongguan will complete the reform of the rural electricity system, and 32 agricultural power assets and personnel will be handed over to the Guangdong Power Grid Company for direct supply of agricultural electricity, and agricultural electricity operation costs will be cancelled after the reform is completed.

A few days ago, the Dongguan City Party and Government Joint Conference passed the "Dongguan Power Grid Direct Supply Directly Managed Rural Electricity System Reform Implementation Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Program"), and has recently issued and implemented. The scope of reform includes the rural power assets and personnel of the 32 agricultural power institutions within the scope of direct supply and direct management of the Dongguan Power Supply Bureau. The core of the reform is the transfer of rural power supply assets, the reception of rural power personnel, local taxation, and the transfer of party-group relations.

It is reported that this rectification will fully complete the "two reforms and one price" work of Dongguan Agricultural Power and properly solve the remaining issues. The implementation of the agricultural power system reform of direct supply and direct management will be initiated to achieve the goal of rural power management and construction of Guangdong Power Grid with “one network and management integration in the province”, and basically complete 32 direct supply and direct agricultural power plants in Dongguan. The rural power assets and personnel were handed over to the Guangdong Power Grid Company for related work, standardized labor and employment, and cancelled rural electricity operation costs after the completion of the reform.

According to reports, the reform of the rural power system is conducive to promoting the unified planning and construction of the power grid in Dongguan; it will help to further rationalize the price of electricity, reduce the burden on enterprises, and improve the investment environment in Dongguan; and it will help promote the equalization of public services.
