Hubei Energy Group invests 1.2 billion Jianbei largest photovoltaic power station

Recently, the Provincial Energy Group signed a framework agreement with Dongxihu District of Wuhan City, investing 1.2 billion yuan to build the largest photovoltaic power generation project in the Dongxihu Bonded Logistics Center.

It is reported that the total investment of this project is about 1.2 billion yuan, which is mainly built on the roof of the bonded center, with a construction scale of 400,000 to 500,000 square meters and a total installed capacity of 50,000 kilowatts. The first phase of the project is expected to be put into operation by the end of next year. According to the agreement, electricity will be connected to the power grid in the East and West Lakes and surrounding areas, and will be consumed nearby.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Provincial Energy Group, the province mainly focuses on hydraulic power and thermal power generation. Hubei lacks coal and long-term reliance on external adjustments, which necessitates the development of new energy sources. At present, Wuhan has Wuhan Railway Station, Expo Center and other photovoltaic power generation projects. By the end of the twelfth five-year period, the province's photovoltaic power generation will account for 0.3% of the total power generation.
