Diodes Incorporated (Diodes Incorporated) has introduced the D5V0F3B6LP20 diode array device with transient voltage suppression (TVS) for USB data and power connections, making it one of the most robust protection devices in its class. The new products are targeted at consumer products and mobile communications products with USB interfaces, especially those that use the new USB Power Delivery (PD) protocol to support fast charging and higher power supply connections.

The D5V0F3B6LP20 integrates three bidirectional I/O channels and one VBUS channel to provide 3.2 kW of lightning surge protection for VBUS power lines with up to 80A peak pulse current (I PP2 ) in compliance with IEC61000-4-5 Claim. The I/O channel has input capacitance as low as 0.4pF, ensuring compatibility with high-speed data ports such as USB 2.0 OTG (on-the-go) and support for USB 3.x data rates.
The maximum leakage current of the VBUS and I/O pins of the D5V0F3B6LP20 device is only 50nA, which not only saves battery power, but also meets the needs of medical devices that require ultra-low leakage current. In addition to providing a more robust surge protection solution than competing products, this TVS diode array is available in a small footprint DFN2020 package for a compact PCB layout.
