Spiral LED table lamp DIY

Some time ago, I saw foreign netizens making a lamp with a sense of design. I wanted to share his production experience. He made a spiral table lamp. The table lamp is mainly composed of wooden pins, each of which is about 7cm (2.75 inches) in length and 5mm (0.19 inches) in diameter. Therefore, the table lamp made this time is very small. Of course, if you want to make the size bigger, you need a bigger one. Wooden pin. If there is no wooden pin at hand, you can replace it with a cardboard tube. See the second step for the specific production process.

In short, it is recommended to use LED tubes, at least energy-saving lamps, especially cold light.

The first step: the required equipment

124 wood pins - (can be bought on a treasure)

Hot melt adhesive

cardboard

ruler

pencil

Light bulb and lamp holder

The hot melt adhesive was chosen because it did work very quickly. If you want the desk lamp to have better insulation, it will be better with white glue.

Step 2: Assembling the wooden pin

31

As shown in the figure, four wooden pins are used to form a square, and each wooden pin forms an edge. Since the ends of the wood pin are round: the sol method of the above figure is used. By analogy, 31 squares of the same size were made.

Step 3: Make a lampshade

32

Take two squares and tie them together, then rotate the square above to the right a little as shown, so that the corners of the two squares will not overlap. This step may be more intuitive. .

When you are squatting, make sure that the faces of the square are in one direction, so that you can be more beautiful. Glue together at the areas where the squares are in contact. Only the junctions on the opposite sides of the two sides are glued here, and all the contact parts can be glued if you wish. Then, and so on, the remaining squares are smashed up, a total of 28, try to ensure that the angle of each rotation is the same.

When completed, the lampshade naturally exhibits a spiral structure.

Step 4: Make a lamp holder

Since the wooden pin is 7 cm (2.75 inches) long, a 7&TImes; 7 cm cardboard is used as the base plate. Of course, the exact size depends on the length of your wooden pin.

Sketch the position of the lamp holder on the cardboard and then cut the part. Make sure the lamp holder can pass through the hole and stick the lamp holder under the lamp cover.

Step 5: Make the base

33

Take the remaining three squares and tie them together. The middle face is opposite to the upper and lower faces. Note that this step does not rotate, and then stick them together as the base of the lamp. The last thing is to stick the base to the lampshade, and you're done!

Then plug the lamp holder onto the lamp holder board and turn on the power. The lighting effect is absolutely great~
