New version of Zigbee home automation standard approved

July 29, 2013-The ZigBee® Alliance, a global enterprise alliance that creates wireless solutions for energy management, commercial and consumer applications, announced today that the new version of ZigBee Home AutomaTIon has been approved and is now available For product development. New and old versions of the standard can be fully interoperable.

ZigBee Home AutomaTIon is an industry-leading standard for enhancing home intelligence, improving comfort, convenience and safety for consumers, and enhancing energy management. ZigBee Home AutomaTIon 1.2 adds several important features, extending the battery life of safety sensors to more than 7 years, standardizing device pairing, and simplifying the installation and maintenance operations of consumers and custom installers. These features can significantly reduce the service provider's operating and equipment costs, and greatly improve the quality of service to consumers.

ZigBee Home AutomaTIon 1.2 includes device function improvements (such as door locks) and supports more devices (including smart home appliances and electrical measurement devices). The standard incorporates new features jointly developed by the ZigBee Alliance and partner Energy @ home in Italy. It can benefit consumers by integrating new equipment and increasing energy-saving awareness, without necessarily relying on the services of power companies.

Ted Grauch, vice president of video equipment at Comcast Cable Technology and Products, said: "ZigBee Home Automation 1.2 has taken an important step in creating an open, fully interoperable wireless home control platform. ZigBee Home Automation 1.2 will provide service operations Shang and consumer electronics companies provide a technical standard that greatly reduces the complexity of planning and deploying advanced home services and reduces their energy consumption. "

Due to ZigBee's relentless pursuit of the highest quality, ZigBee Home Automation 1.2 has undergone rigorous testing, and 19 products have passed Golden Unit compliance testing and certification.

Tobin JM Richardson, Chairman and CEO of the ZigBee Alliance, said: "ZigBee Home Automation has become the industry's most powerful, reliable, and scalable low-power wireless standard for home use. It is also the world's leading service provider, installation company, and retailer. The technology of choice. ZigBee Home Automation 1.2 further strengthens this position, and more importantly, provides a set of standards to create a smarter, safer, and more energy-efficient environment for consumers and families. Mineral Insulated cables, or simply Mica cables, are cables in which conductors or wires are enclosed by a metal jacket and insulated with hard-packed mica. It is a variety of electrical cable made from copper conductors inside a copper sheath, insulated by mineral mica powder. Mineral Insulated cable is a specialized type of cable used in high temperatures or harsh environmental conditions because it has low flammability, even when operating at high temperatures. The maximum continuous operating temperature is 250℃. The cable can supply with power continuously for 3 hours at 950-1000℃. The mineral fillings in cables provide excellent non-reactive insulation. It resists oxidation and enables precise measurement.
Mica cables

Advantages:

  • Low flammability
  • Resists oxidation
  • Easy installation
  • Long service life
  • High insulation resistance
  • High mechanical strength
  • Excellent shield performance
  • Exceptional vibration resistance to protect the mechanical conditions of the internal conductor wires
  • Can be drawn down to extremely small diameters, providing fast response times when used in temperature sensors
  • Can be formed/bent in the field without causing short circuits between the sheath and the internal wires, or between wires
  • Can be easily sealed around when used as extension or control cables in critical environments

electrical wires single core or multicore

Application:

  • Nuclear or hydrocarbon based energy plants
  • Emergency power systems
  • Exposure to dangerous gasses
  • Emergency lighting systems
  • Public buildings such as theatres, cinemas, hotels
  • Hospital operating rooms
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Transport hubs (railway stations, airports etc.)
  • Tunnels and mines
  • Electrical equipment in hazardous areas
  • And many more...
