No WDS bridge, teach you how to relay to achieve full coverage of wireless signals

Case Brief: Without WDS, I want to strengthen the wireless network signal of point A to cover most of the range of point B.

I recently encountered a case. The environmental situation is shown in the picture above. The basic situation and requirements are as follows:

· The device at point A is an enterprise-level AP, the wireless network uses WPA2 encryption, and there is no WDS relay.

· Beside the window of the residential building at point B, you can receive the wireless signal at point A, probably 2 cells are not very strong, and the Internet speed is very fast! But no signal can be found in other rooms in the residential building.

· Now that the problem has arisen, can some equipment be set up near the window at point B to amplify the signal to cover most rooms in the residential building.

Solution 1: Soft routing, turn on the computer, and forward it after receiving the signal.

Soft routing is the first solution I thought of. What is soft routing? It is to use a computer to cooperate with the software to form a routing solution, mainly relying on the software settings to achieve the function of the router;

It is to prepare two wireless network cards on a computer. After the first network card receives the signal at point A, the software will send the signal from the other network card through the software of the "soft routing" function to form coverage.

If you use soft routing, we have a few options, such as powerful sea spiders, and simple software such as ConnecTIfy and Wifiap.

However, if you use soft routing, there are also some unsatisfactory areas, mainly power consumption.

If you just want to connect to the Internet on your mobile phone, but you still need to open the computer and the signal sharing software, so that you will have a signal.

When a computer is on, it consumes more than 100 watts, so this solution is not very satisfactory.
