In recent years, especially after the financial crisis, Dongguan has accelerated the pace of industrial transformation and upgrading. At the same time, it pays attention to the timely application of scientific research results to existing traditional industries. In addition, Dongguan will establish a performance evaluation mechanism for the Institute to ensure that cooperation directly contributes to transformation and upgrading.
At present, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Wuhan University and other colleges have been interested in establishing relevant innovation platforms or research institutions in Dongguan. In the future, Dongguan will also establish 10-15 new public innovation platforms in the Songshan Lake High-tech Zone by means of the city-school cooperation model, forming a cluster of university innovation platforms in China's top universities based on Dongguan and service transformation and upgrading.
